About The Position

This job contributes to Starbucks success by connecting consumers to Starbucks through out of store (OOS) advertising efforts. Contributing to our goal of building enduring relationships with consumers, amplifying messages through advertising; to persuade, inform and personalize consumer communication. This role drives both Starbucks short term and long-term business outcomes; specifically - transaction growth, loyalty program growth and brand preference. This role leverages expertise in advertising communication theory, media strategy, consumer behavior, ad products, targeting methods and purchase models to create, craft and execute advertising campaigns in partnership with subject matter expert team members, agencies, vendors and cross functional stakeholders. This role prepares Starbucks for future successes through continual innovation, synthesizing insights and business objectives to generate ideas and impactful advertising programs. This role will support a variety of advertising campaigns, but primarily those aligning to Brand, Loyalty and Seasonal advertising efforts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of prior media experience (agency, publisher, or client)
  • Prior experience managing agencies and working with remote teams, 5+ years
  • Project leadership in a cross-functional environment, 5+ years
  • Deep understanding of media mathematical principles, data strategy, and communication concepts of Reach, Frequency, Recency, Ad Decay, and Stacking Effect Communication.
  • 5+ years experience budget management, invoicing, forecasting and stewardship

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive consumer advertising campaigns - Co-Author media plans in support of Starbucks business objectives and partnership with marketing colleagues and in collaboration with subject matter managers and agency leads.
  • Drive Starbucks learnings and steward multimillion dollar ad investments - Apply analytical and measurement/tracking skills to review campaign performance, conduct analysis and present data and findings clearly, concisely and accurately to improve business impact of advertising.
  • Manage agency team resources and cross functional workflows - Provide critical oversight and feedback to agency teams, engage with media vendors to identify new ad opportunities as well as discuss areas of need for the organization to further innovation in advertising .
  • Inspire innovation – use advertising to create and learn from new customer communication investments, custom programs, targeting approaches and digital experiences
  • Contribute to the culture of a great team
