The incumbent is responsible for developing, managing and implementing marketing and business development strategy, plans and programs, including activating a major account program and supporting the growth of priority sectors / practices. Working closely with industry leaders and national marketing teams, the incumbent helps raise the firm’s profile, generate business opportunities and measure the performance (return on investment ROI) of initiatives.

Requirements

  • University degree in marketing, management or a related discipline (graduate degree is an asset).
  • Relevant experience in marketing (usually 8 to 10 years), ideally in professional services; experience in multichannel and digital marketing.
  • Experience in team/talent management and advisory role (influence, collaboration with senior management and multiple stakeholders).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation and networking skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills (from strategy to execution) and ability to garner the support of various stakeholders.
  • Results oriented: ability to define key performance indicators (KPIs), measure impact and optimize initiatives; experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools (e.g., Salesforce) is considered an asset.
  • Creative, innovative, strategic thinking and business acumen; collaborative approach.
  • Industry expertise (e.g., infrastructure, government, healthcare, real estate, consumer markets, energy/resources, industrial markets, technology/media/telecommunications) or a strong interest in developing expertise, depending on the portfolio.
  • Fluency in written and oral English is required to support and collaborate with English-speaking colleagues and stakeholders, as well as to create/interpret/apply policies, practices, laws and regulations in the normal course of employment.
  • Availability to travel occasionally, based on business needs (e.g., across the country on a periodic basis).

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to strategic planning; identifies market opportunities; develops and implements marketing and communication plans aligned with business objectives (growth, revenues, brand awareness).
  • Designs and oversees integrated initiatives (events) including thought leadership, sponsorships, social media and web.
  • Optimizes the capture, creation and distribution of content (e.g., articles, presentations, social/digital content) in order to strengthen the brand and positioning of the leaders; design/implement thought leadership projects focused on industry innovation.
  • Operates and activates the program (e.g., planning targeted offers, supporting strategic relationship development, sharing best practices); tracking results and recommending actions to maintain expected growth.
  • Advises leaders/partners and account teams on trends, priorities and best practices; consults and engages key stakeholders and fosters collaboration across sectors, regions and international network.
  • Monitors trends and opportunities (both industry and cross-sectional); identifies global content/trends that can be adapted to the Canadian market; and supports the creation of opportunities in key markets.
  • Defines key metrics and indicators; analyzes results from Customer Relationship Management / Governance Risk and Compliance, digital analytics and customer feedback; prepares regular reports; manages and optimizes marketing budgets and supports annual planning/budgeting.
  • Manages the boxes (suites) and business partnerships; leads the Circle initiative (governance, planning, activation and monitoring) by coordinating many internal and external stakeholders to maximize value and impact.
  • Mentors and supervises team members; manages performance, coaching and professional development.
