About The Position

Market Supervision is part of the Market Regulation department, which regulates markets operated by LSE plc. The team monitors secondary-market trading on London Stock Exchange, Turquoise Global Holdings Limited and Turquoise Global Holdings Europe B.V. Its purpose is to support orderly, efficient trading in compliance with exchange rules and to identify activity that may indicate market abuse under the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s Code of Market Conduct and MAR. The Senior Manager will co-lead and manage Market Supervision coverage for LSE’s 24x5 extended trading model, helping ensure orderly, efficient and compliant trading during non-UK working hours. The role involves senior oversight of live and post-trade activity, management of market events, engagement with member firms and internal stakeholders, investigation of unusual trading patterns, and development of procedures, playbooks and controls for LSE 24. It requires sound judgement, leadership and the ability to make documented decisions in time-critical situations. The position reports to the Head of Market Supervision.
