About the position
The Senior Manager for the Infrastructure team will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to ensure the reliability, security, performance, and availability of the IT Infrastructure. They will manage and hire for Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, Networking, and Operations teams, set priorities and roadmaps, evaluate spend in Azure, and provide senior management with performance overviews. The role also involves overseeing production systems, leading security efforts, establishing best practices, ensuring developer satisfaction, defining SLAs, and implementing disaster recovery plans. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, along with extensive experience in cloud and on-premise infrastructures, team management, and Azure, is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Engineers managing cloud infrastructure, networking, and operations.
- Set Azure architectural standards for the environment and design automation for Azure infrastructure.
- Provide tier 1, 2, and 3 support for company-wide applications, infrastructure systems, and services.
- Oversee and manage production systems including backups, performance tuning, fault resolution, capacity planning, and root-cause analysis.
- Lead security efforts with application teams to ensure infrastructure is secure.
- Establish industry best practices for managing risk and delivering services and solutions successfully.
- Create a high degree of satisfaction and efficiency in the developer experience.
- Define SLAs for infrastructure and operations and ensure adherence to defined metrics.
- Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and updated as needed.
- Manage and hire for Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, Networking, and Operations teams.
- Build roadmaps and set priorities.
- Manage work and tickets.
- Evaluate spend in Azure.
- Assist team members in removing roadblocks.
- Provide senior management with an overview of performance and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
- 7+ years of experience implementing and managing large scale cloud and/or on-premise infrastructures required
- 3+ years of experience managing a team of Infrastructure Engineers required
- 3+ years of experience managing a Service Desk team required
- 3+ years of experience with Azure or Azure Solutions required
- 5+ years of experience with Windows Server management and support required
- 3+ years of experience with mergers & acquisitions, including migration and integration of disparate systems
- 3+ years of experience supporting custom software development, including experience in driving SDLC and CI/CD efficiencies.
- 3+ years of experience securing and supporting SOC2 and HIPAA compliance.

- Project Management (PMP), Governance & Service Management (ITIL, COBIT), Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF), MCSE, or VCP certifications a plus (MCSE/VCP/VCAP/CCNA/CCNP, etc.)
- Remote position with some travel required
