Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a professional services firm or financial institution, with demonstrated leadership and client‑facing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or equivalent an asset
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to build trusted client relationships, understand client business needs, and deliver high‑quality, value‑driven service
  • Solid business and financial acumen, with strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex or evolving program requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and cross‑functional teams
  • Curiosity, sound professional judgment, and attention to detail; experience in the public or parapublic sector (ministries, agencies, Crown corporations, municipalities, economic development organizations) is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize government assistance for client projects across multiple programs and jurisdictions
  • Lead and manage end‑to‑end government funding applications, including coordination with relevant government agencies
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients through regular communication and by staying current on evolving government assistance programs and legislation
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships through high‑quality delivery and proactive support
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Government Assistance practice, including process improvements and market initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional KPMG teams, including Tax, Audit, and Corporate Finance, to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Coach, review, and oversee the work of junior team members, supporting their technical and professional development
