About The Position

As MISO’s Senior Manager – Generation Interconnection, you will lead a team at the center of one of the energy industry’s most important challenges: reliably connecting new resources to the grid while balancing speed, accuracy, stakeholder expectations, and long-term system reliability. This is more than a technical leadership role. It is an opportunity to guide strategy, develop talent, influence process improvements, and help drive how the future grid evolves across the MISO footprint.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for Generation Queue Definitive Planning Phases (DPP) studies and expedited resource addition studies
Drive accountability for accurate, defensible study results and on-time milestone execution in alignment with the MISO Tariff and BPM requirements
Oversee the development, validation, and maintenance of power flow, short circuit, stability, and deliverability models that support critical planning decisions
Partner with Transmission Owners, Interconnection Customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve complex technical and operational challenges
Guide cross-functional collaboration between engineering, modeling, automation, and data teams to improve study execution and consistency
Champion process improvements, automation enhancements, and operational efficiencies that improve throughput and customer experience
Balance technical leadership with people leadership—coaching employees, managing priorities, navigating difficult conversations, and helping your team grow and succeed
