About The Position

The Senior Manager, FP&A serves as the strategic finance business partner to Cronos' North American commercial and growth operations. This role is at the intersection of financial analysis, commercial decision-making, and market-level insight — providing the analytical foundation that drives pricing, product, marketing, and sales strategies across the region. The role holds accountability for Canada market financial reporting and retailer analytics, product and pricing support, MFN calculation frameworks, provincial analysis, and international revenue reporting. As the business evolves, this leader will also develop and own the sales forecasting capability for the region. This position reports to the Global VP of FP&A and works in close partnership with regional commercial leadership, as well as global FP&A and the corporate consolidation team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or CPA an asset.
  • 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, with a strong emphasis on commercial or business partner finance roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in consumer goods, cannabis, or retail industry finance preferred.
  • Strong analytical background with deep proficiency in financial modeling, pricing analysis, and product/channel P&L management.
  • Familiarity with Canadian market dynamics, regulatory environment, and provincial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with financial systems (SAP, OneStream) and data visualization or analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; proven ability to influence commercial decision-making through financial insight.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive mindset with the ability to build new capabilities from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Monthly Financial Review (MFR) process for the Canadian market, delivering timely, accurate, and decision-useful reporting to commercial and finance leadership.
  • Develop and maintain retailer-level analytics, including sell-through performance, margin contribution, and account-level profitability.
  • Build and refine dashboards and reporting tools that give the business real-time visibility into retail performance trends.
  • Provide variance analysis and commentary on key business drivers to support management decision-making.
  • Lead financial reporting at the product level, tracking revenue, margins, and profitability across the portfolio.
  • Partner with product and commercial teams to develop and maintain product P&Ls, enabling clear accountability for product-level financial outcomes.
  • Support new product launch analysis, including business case development, margin modeling, and post-launch performance tracking.
  • Serve as the primary finance partner for pricing decisions across the NA market, providing data-driven analysis on price elasticity, competitive positioning, and margin impact.
  • Support the development and ongoing refinement of the company's pricing frameworks and discount structures.
  • Evaluate promotional pricing scenarios and trade investments against financial thresholds and return expectations.
  • Act as the embedded finance partner to Marketing and Sales leadership, supporting investment decisions, campaign ROI analysis, and trade spend optimization.
  • Provide financial modeling and analytical support for marketing plans, sales initiatives, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitor and report on sales and marketing financial performance against plan, flagging risks and opportunities proactively.
  • Own and manage the Most Favored Nation (MFN) calculation process, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Partner with legal, commercial, and operations teams to ensure MFN processes are well-documented and audit-ready.
  • Continuously improve the MFN methodology and reporting in response to evolving commercial arrangements.
  • Deliver granular financial analysis at the provincial level, providing visibility into regional revenue trends, regulatory impacts, and market performance.
  • Support market entry analysis and ongoing provincial performance reviews with actionable financial insights.
  • Track and report on provincial regulatory and tax changes that affect the financial performance of the business.
  • Own the financial reporting and analysis for international revenue streams, ensuring accurate classification, tracking, and consolidation.
  • Partner with global finance to ensure international financial flows are correctly reflected in corporate reporting.
  • Support the development of business cases for international market expansion and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the design and build-out of a rigorous sales forecasting capability for the North American business, incorporating market data, commercial pipeline, and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Partner with commercial leadership to establish forecast cadence, submission standards, and review processes.
  • Over time, evolve the forecasting function into a predictive, data-driven capability that supports agile commercial decision-making.
