The Senior Manager, Finance plays a critical role in driving financial planning, analysis, and risk mitigation to support business performance and strategic decision-making. The Sam’s Club Merchandise Finance Team collaborates closely with merchants to drive business outcomes and deliver exceptional member value. Acting as strategic partners, the team guides decision-making and safeguards company interests through robust financial planning, analysis, and risk management. Utilizing advanced tools, they provide timely insights to support business priorities. The team fosters continuous improvement and adaptability while maintaining strong communication across functions. Requirements

  • Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling to support business performance and expense management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex control structures and mitigate financial risks through effective process development and monitoring.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing teams, setting performance expectations, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to present financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional partners.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and problem-solving capabilities to drive business plans, remove obstacles, and support continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in profit and loss management and financial reporting transparency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
  • 1 year’s experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience.
