About The Position

As a Senior Development Manager you will lead a cross-functional engineering team developing the next generation of Ping's SaaS products in the Identity and Access Management space. You will report to a Senior Director of Engineering and you will be involved in all phases of the application lifecycle including requirements, development, test, and delivery. Requirements

Experience hiring and leading outstanding engineers.
Experience leading Agile teams and planning processes.
CI/CD commercial cloud architecture and delivery experience.
Minimum of 2 years experience leading "Software as a Service" teams and processes.
Minimum of 5 years experience directly managing development teams, creating and delivering successful commercial products to the market.
Proven ability to coordinate across teams including product development, product management, and customer services for the design, development, test, delivery, and support of products.
Expertise in Java, Cassandra, Kafka, Amazon Web Services, and Kubernetes, or an equivalent enterprise-grade software stack.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

Lead a cross-functional team of 8 developers responsible for SaaS and hybrid multi-tenant products.
Manage recruitment, training, and building an accomplished and effective software development team.
Contribute technically to the team: Provide design and code reviews, and contribute to the codebase yourself.
Lead the forecasting, allocation, and management of capital and people investments.
Work with product management to determine product requirements and definitions.
Assist your team in responding quickly in the event of unforeseen production issues.
On-call may be a requirement for this position.
