Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Data Scientists and Data Operations Specialists
- Provide hands-on work, planning, and prioritization to ensure team success
- Manage team through greenfield projects and data analysis
- Build ML and AI models from the ground up
- Develop and execute a long-term Data Science strategy
- Integrate Data Science into Product Strategy and roadmap
- Promote data science best practices across the company
- Aggregate and analyze large datasets to identify behavior trends
- Use statistics and advanced data mining techniques to tackle real-world problems
- Build data models that contribute to engineering and product development
- Manage a team of data scientists and focus on people, process, velocity, and execution
- Utilize programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R
- Use Cloud Platforms, preferably AWS
- Hold advanced degrees in quantitative fields like Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics
- Demonstrate empathy and collaboration in a small team environment
Requirements

- 6+ years of expertise in aggregating and analyzing large datasets
- Identify behavior trends using statistics and advanced data mining techniques
- Build data models to tackle real-world problems
- Mastery of diverse machine learning techniques
- Experience managing a team of data scientists
- Skills in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R
- Experience with Cloud Platforms, bonus points for AWS
- Advanced degrees in quantitative fields like Statistics, Computer Science, and Mathematics required (PhDs are ideal)
- Empathy and collaboration skills are vital for success
- Salary range: $204,000.00 to $276,000.00 for NY, CA, WA, or MA; $178,500.00 to $241,500.00 for other locations
