About the position
Snapdocs is seeking a leader for their Data/BI team to ensure effective pipeline and management of data, resulting in reporting and enablement that enhances their teams and products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Data Warehousing, Big Data, or Data Engineering and BI Reporting, with a strong background in leading Data Engineers and BI Analysts. They will be responsible for driving the advancement of enterprise data infrastructure, collaborating with product owners and business department heads, and mentoring team members to enable effective data decision-making within Snapdocs. This role requires expertise in Python, SQL, and Airflow, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally with Data Science and Security teams.
Responsibilities
- Drive the advancement of enterprise data Infrastructure for how data arrives, is cleansed, and ultimately stored for organizational usage
- Partner with product owners and business department heads to understand the output requirements for reporting and other data enabled use cases
- Power the BI team members to build rich visualizations that communicate complex ideas to customers or company leaders
- Mentor your team members to grow them to be the best enablers of data decisioning within Snapdocs
- Help drive architectural change in data pipelines as required
- Maintain and implement data Security best practices
- Implement and validate data quality in the appropriate dimensions
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, Big Data, or Data Engineering and BI Reporting
- At least 3 years of experience in leading Data Engineers and BI Analysts
- Ability to create and manage custom data imports, via APIs or through Python scripting
- Prior experience working cross-functionally
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Airflow
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Ability to mentor and lead a small team
- Knowledge of data security best practices
- Experience in driving architectural change in data pipelines
- Understanding of data quality implementation and validation
