About the position
The job overview for this role is that Snapdocs is seeking a Senior Manager to lead their team of Data Scientists and Data Operations Specialists. The role requires expertise in aggregating and analyzing large datasets, using statistics and advanced data mining techniques, and proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R. Advanced degrees in quantitative fields are required, and empathy and collaboration are essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Data Scientists and Data Operations Specialists
- Support the team through hands-on work, planning, and prioritization
- Manage a team through greenfield projects and data analysis
- Build ML and AI models from the ground up
- Develop and execute a long-term Data Science strategy
- Integrate Data Science into Product Strategy and roadmap
- Promote data science best practices across the company
- Aggregate and analyze large datasets to identify behavior trends
- Use statistics and advanced data mining techniques
- Build data models to tackle real-world problems
- Experiment with diverse machine learning techniques
- Manage a team of data scientists
- Focus on people, process, velocity, and execution
- Utilize programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R
- Use Cloud Platforms, preferably AWS
- Hold advanced degrees in quantitative fields like Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics
- Demonstrate empathy and collaboration skills for success.
Requirements
- Senior Manager role leading a team of Data Scientists and Data Operations Specialists
- Comfortable with hands-on work, planning, and prioritization
- Experience managing a team through greenfield projects
- Proficient in aggregating and analyzing large datasets
- Skilled in statistics, advanced data mining techniques, and building data models
- Familiarity with diverse machine learning techniques
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages including SQL, Python, or R
- Experience with Cloud Platforms, preferably AWS
- Advanced degrees in quantitative fields like Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics required (PhDs preferred)
- Strong empathy and collaboration skills
- Salary range for NY, CA, WA, or MA: $204,000.00 to $276,000.00
- Salary range for other locations: $178,500.00 to $241,500.00
