About The Position

The Consumer Discovery Team is responsible for how customers engage with DoorDash in the app, focusing on building and scaling new features, bringing products to market, and establishing DoorDash as the everyday app for customers. This team supports the entire marketplace across Restaurants, New Verticals, and Emerging Bets. As a Senior Manager on the Consumer Discovery Strategy & Operations team, you will define, execute, and build in-app experiences for the entire marketplace. This includes integrating AI-forward solutions and refining the go-to-market playbook. You will collaborate cross-functionally with strategy & operations, product, engineering, analytics, and marketing teams. You will manage a team of direct and indirect reports and report to a Director on the Marketplace Strategy & Operations team.

Requirements

  • Solve problems from first principles and resist conventional thinking.
  • Identify consumer pain points, lead with the consumer in mind, and build go-to-market strategies to enhance consumer experience.
  • Experience building, launching, or scaling AI-powered consumer products.
  • Ability to operate at both high-level strategic thinking and detailed operational execution.
  • Analytical skills, comfortable pulling data in SQL or modeling in Excel.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and thriving in fast-paced, startup environments.
  • 8+ years of experience in high-performance cultures (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, startups, or related fields).
  • 2+ years of experience managing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build in-app experiences for the entire marketplace, from strategy to operational details, to launch, improve, and scale new features.
  • Develop optimal strategies for serving customers from first principles.
  • Transform strategies into operational experiments with measurable outcomes to inform implementation plans.
  • Analyze the operational and financial impacts of decisions and iterate based on data.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, product, and operations.
