About The Position

The Atlantic is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and hands-on Manager to join the Consumer Strategy and Growth team. This role reports to the Associate Director focused on growth initiatives and is based in New York.

Requirements

  • Experience in growth, product, marketing, or a related field, ideally with exposure to experimentation, conversion, or subscription growth.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several workstreams at once.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving environments and approaching problems with curiosity, initiative, and creativity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Looker or Google Analytics.
  • Familiarity with project management and documentation tools such as Airtable, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • Strong technical fluency and comfort working in platforms, systems, and tools that support testing, QA, reporting, and onsite execution.
  • Resourceful and self-directed, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, learn new systems quickly, and figure things out independently.
  • Open to experimenting with new technologies and workflows, including AI tools such as Claude, Codex, or Glean, to improve efficiency, analysis, and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Execute A/B tests across offers, gating, messaging, and design to improve baseline conversion performance.
  • Support the strategy and execution of key growth initiatives across The Atlantic’s site and app, including day-to-day cross-functional coordination.
  • Help launch and optimize subscription partnerships and international growth efforts, including offer setup, onsite testing, and performance tracking.
  • Build and maintain onsite tests in Zephr, including customer journeys and HTML/CSS components.
  • Contribute to QA processes and experimentation standards that support a reliable and effective testing roadmap.
  • Maintain and improve documentation, experimentation records, and Airtable systems so onsite marketing work is organized and accessible.
