About The Position

Walmart Connect (WMC) is a key pillar of Walmart’s enterprise growth strategy. As the retail media arm of the world’s largest omnichannel retailer, Walmart Connect (WMC) operates a multi-billion-dollar closed-loop advertising business that connects brands to customers across digital and in-store touchpoints. Walmart Connect delivers measurable outcomes for suppliers, sellers, merchants, and brand advertisers through full-funnel advertising solutions powered by Walmart’s first-party data. As Walmart Connect continues expanding its advertising capabilities across international markets and in close coordination with Sam’s Club Connect), we are creating a central Business Planning capability to accelerate advertising growth. As the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning & Execution, you will be the central architect of how planning happens — translating long-range strategy into executable annual plans, OKRs, and the planning artifacts that align our markets, our teams, and our leadership. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, partnering closely with local market teams, Finance, Business Insights & Analysis, and Enablement to translate ambitious plans into delivered outcomes. This is a builder role — you will stand up the planning capabilities that scale our business.

Requirements

  • A skilled cross-functional facilitator who navigates complex stakeholder landscapes — markets, Finance, Insights & Analysis, and Enablement.
  • Strong project and program management skills;
  • A builder mindset — eager to stand up planning capabilities from zero-to-one, not just maintain what exists.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Social Science, Communications, or related field and 4 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area.

  • Lead the creation of planning artifacts — LRP / AOP / OKR narratives, executive decks, and papers — that align leadership and drive decision-making.
