About The Position

ADP is seeking a Senior Mainframe CICS Systems Engineer to join its Infrastructure Engineering team. The role is responsible for the installation, implementation, administration, support, and strategic direction of IBM CICS Transaction Server (CICS/TS) environments that support mission-critical enterprise applications. The engineer will partner with development, operations, architecture, and infrastructure teams to maintain the stability, performance, resiliency, and modernization of ADP’s mainframe ecosystem. The position includes leading the configuration, maintenance, and support of large-scale CICS/TS environments; administering and optimizing CICSPlex environments; supporting Java workloads in CICS, including Liberty Profile environments; and evaluating IBM and third-party software products. The engineer will contribute to CICS standards, best practices, and technology roadmaps, and will support performance tuning, capacity management, disaster recovery, and business resilience. The role also provides technical leadership during production incidents, supports internal and external clients with CICS-based solutions, and drives automation of operational procedures such as IPLs, CICS Cold Starts, recovery processing, and dump management. This is a senior technical leadership role for a hands-on systems engineering expert who can solve complex production challenges, improve reliability, automate processes, and modernize mainframe services. It includes mentoring junior developers and participating in a global on-call rotation for a highly available 24x7 enterprise platform. The position is hybrid, with three onsite days, and locations are Roseland, New Jersey (preferred), Alpharetta, Georgia, or San Dimas, California.
