Senior Localization and Planning Engineer - Autonomous Vehicles

NVIDIA•Redmond, WA
•$184,000 - $356,500

About The Position

Join NVIDIA as a Localization and Planning Engineer working on autonomous-vehicle navigation. Navigation maps provide driving context at road and lane level. In this role, you will develop localization, perception-map association, and lane-selection capabilities that use navigation maps to enable advanced autonomous-driving features. You will design and implement systems that use standard navigation maps, such as Google Maps, to guide a car along a route at lane level. The algorithms must perform effectively across large-scale real-world and synthetic datasets in diverse environments. You will write safe, efficient C++ code and productize software for deployment in consumer cars while following automotive quality and safety standards, including MISRA and ISO 26262. NVIDIA describes its self-driving-car work as a potential defining contribution, citing the worldwide toll of traffic accidents. The company says it has the funding and scale for the work and invites creative, autonomous candidates to join its team. This is an existing vacancy. NVIDIA uses AI tools in its recruiting processes and is an equal opportunity employer.
