About The Position

Morrison Mahoney LLP is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate to join its New Jersey litigation team. Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Admission to the New Jersey State Bar.
At least seven (7) years of prior civil litigation experience.
Experience in both New Jersey state and federal courts.
Experience taking and defending depositions.
Ability to handle cases from inception through resolution.
Ability to file dispositive motions in Superior Court.
Prior ADR experience handling arbitrations and mediations.
Ability to prepare comprehensive status reports for insurers.
Self-starter with strong advocacy skills.
Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
Ability to perform legal research.
Ability to respond to discovery requests.
Attention to detail.
Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage own caseload from inception to resolution.
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
Engage closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies.
Provide clients with updates and interim status reports on their cases.
Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memoranda.
Work alongside partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management.
Handle cases from inception through resolution.
Take and defend depositions.
File dispositive motions in Superior Court.
Handle arbitrations and mediations.
Prepare comprehensive status reports for insurers.
Draft and argue dispositive motions.
Perform legal research.
Respond to discovery requests.
Take and defend fact witness and expert depositions.
