About The Position

Morrison Mahoney LLP is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate to join its New Jersey litigation team. This role involves working on a diverse range of complex civil litigation matters in practice areas such as general liability, construction litigation, employment and labor, and workers compensation. Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Admission to the New Jersey State Bar.
At least seven (7) years of prior civil litigation experience.
Experience in both New Jersey state and federal courts.
Experience taking and defending depositions.
Ability to handle cases from inception through resolution.
Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
Ability to perform legal research.
Ability to respond to discovery requests.
Strong advocacy skills.
Self-starter.

Nice To Haves

Experience in general liability, construction litigation, employment and labor, and workers compensation.

Responsibilities

Manage own caseload from inception to resolution.
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
Engage closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies.
Provide clients with updates and interim status reports on their cases.
Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memoranda to bolster case strategies.
Work alongside partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management.
Take and defend depositions.
File dispositive motions in Superior Court.
Handle arbitrations and mediations.
Prepare comprehensive status reports for insurers.
