Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager

Berry Street•New York, NY

About The Position

Berry Street is seeking a senior lifecycle marketer to own the strategy and execution of its patient lifecycle program, with a smaller share of provider-facing communications in partnership with Provider Ops. The role spans the full patient journey, from initial interest through booking, attendance, long-term retention, and win-back. It requires translating audience, offering, and partnership needs into roadmaps, test plans, and automated journeys across email, SMS, and push. Lifecycle runs in-house in Customer.io. The manager will own the ESP’s data and operational foundations, including schema, event and attribute mapping, segmentation, deliverability, UTM governance, error handling, and integrations. They will also own the lifecycle engineering roadmap, coordinate requirements with Product and Engineering, run experiments, monitor performance, and establish QA and monitoring practices. The role collaborates across Growth, Product, Engineering, Data, CX, Provider Ops, Commercial, and Leadership, while ensuring communications comply with HIPAA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, carrier SMS rules, consent requirements, and suppression logic. Berry Street is a healthcare platform connecting patients with clinicians and AI tools to support care for chronic and acute conditions. The company works with health plans, health systems, and care management companies across all 50 states. It launched in 2023, has served hundreds of thousands of patients, and is Series B-backed.

  • Experience with the technical side of lifecycle marketing, including data, events, and integrations.

  • Strong editorial judgment and feedback skills, and ability to turn insights into crisp briefs and polished, on-brand email, SMS, and push content.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration with Growth, Product, Engineering, Data, and CX, and ability to turn lifecycle needs into clear engineering requirements.
  • Operational rigor, attention to detail, strong QA habits, and fluency in consent management and compliance.
  • Experience shipping work in AI-related operational processes and an active interest in applying new AI models and tools to rebuild workflows.
