About The Position

Pelican is looking for a Senior Lifecycle & CRM Marketing Manager to transform our email program into a high-impact, insight-driven revenue engine. In this role, you’ll own the strategy and execution of our lifecycle and email marketing ecosystem—from roadmap and automation to segmentation, testing, and performance analytics. You’ll work at both the big-picture and hands-on levels, collaborating across Marketing, Ecommerce, and Creative teams while personally building and optimizing campaigns that drive engagement, retention, and revenue. This role reports to the Director of Marketing with a dotted line to the VP of Ecommerce.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of email or lifecycle marketing experience (ecommerce or DTC preferred)
  • Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort translating data into action
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Experience with Klaviyo and Shopify
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-and-learn ecommerce environment

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve Pelican’s email and lifecycle marketing strategy to drive revenue, retention, and lifetime value
  • Build a long-term roadmap for promotions, automation, personalization, and testing
  • Use behavioral and lifecycle insights to identify growth opportunities and optimize customer journeys
  • Plan, build, schedule, and deploy promotional and automated email campaigns
  • Lead A/B and multivariate testing—develop hypotheses, analyze results, and apply learnings
  • Build and optimize email templates to ensure strong brand consistency and cross-device performance
  • Own email reporting, KPIs, and performance analysis
  • Monitor deliverability, sender reputation, list health, and compliance
  • Drive improvements in open rates, CTR, conversion, and revenue contribution
  • Develop advanced audience segmentation based on behavior, engagement, and lifecycle stage
  • Lead personalization strategies to improve relevance and performance
  • Own list growth, reactivation, and suppression best practices
  • Partner with content, creative, and ecommerce teams to deliver timely, on-brand messaging
  • Recommend new campaign concepts, lifecycle journeys, and cross-channel opportunities
  • Additional duties as assigned.
