About The Position

As a member of Apple’s Product & Regulatory Legal Group, the Senior Legal Counsel supports Apple’s home and wearables products, working with hardware and software engineering, marketing, and business teams. The role partners directly with product and engineering teams to advise on a wide range of matters involving novel artificial intelligence and machine learning features and other technologies throughout development and launch.

The position supports technology and content licensing and advises on product, commercial, intellectual property, and regulatory matters. It formulates legal and regulatory strategies and develops creative solutions to mitigate risks associated with innovative products. Apple management relies on this counsel for advice on risk mitigation, business strategies, and policies, particularly regarding challenges and opportunities arising from technologies in wearable devices and shared home products.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant legal experience, including product counseling for consumer devices.
• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree.
• Admission to at least one state bar.
• Experience with product counseling, consumer law, and product regulatory issues.
• Strong interest in new technologies in consumer products.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal issues and build relationships with engineering, executive management, teammates, and cross-functional partners.
• Strong analytical skills and business sense, with the ability to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively while balancing legal risk and product goals.
• Self-starter who is curious, takes ownership, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative environment.
