About The Position

As a Temporary Attorney, you will provide legal support for product initiatives and assist the commercial team with escalations and other matters. You will support a growing business, work with cross-functional partners as an effective individual contributor and collaborative team player, and act as a trusted advisor to business and legal leadership on product compliance and commercial go-to-market operations. This is a six-month contract position starting December 1.

Requirements

• In-house experience at a technology company, with transactional and product counseling experience.
• A proven track record supporting commercial legal matters.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to AI products and systems, as well as general privacy regulations in the SaaS space, such as GDPR, CPRA, and the EU AI Act.
• Well-grounded knowledge of intellectual property and SaaS commercial contracts law.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound, practical business judgment in counseling clients and navigating complex negotiations and high-pressure situations.
• Highly responsive and service-focused approach to supporting commercial, product, and engineering teams.
• Bias and drive for action, fast learning, and proactive problem solving.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or familiarity with incident response protocols and relevant notification requirements.
• Experience evaluating third-party software, AI tools, and vendor security and privacy assessments.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in cybersecurity and SaaS go-to-market legal operations.
• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).

Responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic legal advice on product initiatives, emerging AI features, and related regulatory topics.
• Partner with go-to-market teams to handle commercial escalations and address customer inquiries.
• Evaluate AI tools and vendor assessments to support internal legal and risk standards.
• Support legal priorities across compliance and special projects as needs evolve.
