About The Position

The Senior Legal Counsel will join Apple's Product & Regulatory Legal Group, supporting hardware and software engineering, marketing, and business teams, with a focus on Apple's home and wearables products. The role partners directly with product and engineering teams to advise on matters involving novel artificial intelligence and machine learning features and other technologies throughout development and launch. It also supports technology and content licensing and advises on product, commercial, intellectual property, and regulatory matters.

The attorney will formulate legal and regulatory strategies and develop creative solutions to mitigate risks associated with innovative products. Apple management will rely on the counsel for advice on risk mitigation, business strategies, and policies, especially concerning the challenges and opportunities of technologies in wearable devices and shared home products.

Requirements

• 8 or more years of relevant legal experience, including product counseling for consumer devices.
• JD or equivalent.
• Admission to at least one state bar.

• Experience with product counseling, consumer law, and product regulatory issues.
• Strong interest in new technologies in consumer products.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to distill complex legal issues and build relationships with engineering, executive management, teammates, and cross-functional partners.
• Strong analytical skills and business sense, with the ability to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively while balancing legal risk and product goals.
