About The Position

Salesforce National Security builds and operates secure environments for government customers. The Senior Lead Technical Program Manager for GovCloud owns technical program management for new technical builds and prioritized engineering initiatives. The role works with product, engineering, infrastructure, security, operations, and business leaders to translate strategic objectives into executable plans, manage critical dependencies, and balance delivery commitments, technical constraints, and customer needs. The position owns program strategy and execution for new GovCloud environment builds and related product and engineering initiatives serving current and future government customers. This is an onsite role in Herndon, Virginia, five days per week. Applicants must be U.S. citizens living in the United States, must not hold dual citizenship, and must currently hold and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Employment is contingent on acceptable background investigation results and meeting applicable customer and government screening standards.

Requirements

Currently hold an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph.
At least 4 years of experience managing complex technical initiatives and projects from initiation to completion in a SaaS or PaaS product development organization.
Understand product development and software development lifecycles, and apply Agile principles alongside traditional project management practices.
Experience prioritizing, structuring, and managing individual and team deliverables in alignment with strategic objectives.
Experience leading cross-functional teams.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build consensus with key stakeholders.
Experience driving results and aligning expectations across complex, matrixed, cross-functional organizations.
Track record of resolving challenges in coordinating distributed and global teams.
U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized), living on U.S. soil, without dual citizenship, and able to meet applicable customer and government screening standards.
Agree to complete a U.S. federal government Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position and maintain the required clearance.
Work onsite in Herndon, Virginia, five days per week.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AWS Dedicated Region air-gapped environment builds.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, sound judgment in navigating conflict, and ability to solve complex problems.
Experience using analysis to drive roadmap development and prioritization.
Certified Scrum Master or equivalent Agile certification.

Responsibilities

Establish program structures and build cross-functional consensus around GovCloud stakeholder priorities, strategic vision, and business objectives.
Use technical, analytical, and Agile methods to guide and support software engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead program Steering Committee forums to guide decisions, clear blockers, and resolve operational challenges.
Champion business objectives and steer long-term program strategy.
Build partnerships with functional team members to maintain focus on business goals.
Run workgroup alignment meetings addressing tactical release issues, dependencies, team status, production issues, metrics, and achievements.
Lead program and feature dependencies across teams, scrum teams, functions, divisions, and partners.
Identify and urgently address potential roadblocks to keep teams on track toward delivery goals.
Deliver monthly program evaluations and status updates during sprint reviews, covering goal progress, risks, and key concerns.
Create a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and learning.
Promote the SNS Product and Technology strategy and encourage organizational transformation.
