About The Position

Cantor Fitzgerald is seeking a Senior Java Developer for its Trading Systems Development team in Warsaw, Poland. This is a full-time, permanent role focused on developing and maintaining server-side Java applications for trading platforms. The developer will build scalable solutions, optimize performance for a real-time trading environment, collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, support deployment automation, and resolve production issues.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java 8 or later, focused on server-side development.
• Expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, and Maven for enterprise application development.
• Experience with at least one web application development framework, such as Angular or React.
• Solid understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and application performance tuning.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with message queue systems such as Kafka or JMS, and RESTful services.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, the ELK stack, or Grafana/Prometheus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side Java applications for trading platforms.
• Implement robust, scalable solutions using Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with business analysts, tech leads, traders, and other developers to deliver mission-critical features.
• Optimize application performance for high throughput and low latency in a real-time trading environment.
• Ensure code quality through unit tests and end-to-end test automation.
• Participate in DevOps pipeline development and deployment automation using Git/GitLab, Maven, and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
