About The Position

Wipro is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable Java backend applications and enterprise services. The role uses Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, Oracle, and related technologies, and applies the Software Development Lifecycle across design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. Working in an Agile/Scrum team, the developer contributes to application architecture, technical design, documentation, and engineering standards. The role includes building SOA, microservices, event-driven services, and cloud-native applications; developing REST and GraphQL APIs; investigating and resolving complex application, integration, coding, and performance issues; and improving CI/CD, testing, deployment, and operational processes. It also involves containerization and orchestration technologies and the use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot. The expected compensation ranges from $60,000 to $135,000. Final compensation depends on factors including location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable Java backend applications and services.
Develop enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and Oracle.
Apply the Software Development Lifecycle across design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Work within an Agile/Scrum delivery team to achieve sprint goals and deliver high-quality solutions.
Contribute to application architecture, technical design, documentation, and engineering standards.
Design and implement SOA, microservices, event-driven services, and cloud-native applications.
Develop high-performance APIs using REST and GraphQL.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex application, coding, integration, and performance issues.
Perform root cause analysis and implement effective defect resolutions.
Use Docker for application containerization and Kubernetes/OpenShift for orchestration and deployment.
Participate in and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, deployments, and release processes.
Develop and automate unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to maintain strong code quality.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity and development efficiency.
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate software development, build, deployment, and operational processes.
Communicate technical progress, dependencies, risks, issues, and potential bottlenecks effectively.
