About The Position

Miratech is hiring a Senior Java Developer to develop and maintain customized software solutions for a large European public-sector software provider. The project involves building a tax administration system that supports the full life cycle of tax declaration processing, tax calculations, and assessments, including integration with multiple external systems. The project team consists of more than 20 people.

The role involves implementing software components to design specifications, integrating and testing systems, troubleshooting issues, estimating project efforts and timelines, collaborating with teammates and stakeholders, contributing technical input to product roadmaps, participating in incident triage, and supporting and optimizing CI/CD processes.

The project technology stack includes Java with Spring and Quarkus; Angular; PostgreSQL; RESTEasy; Hibernate/Panache; Kafka; microservices; Maven; Flyway; Docker; Kubernetes; GitLab; Jira; ArgoCD; and Grafana.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with the Spring Framework and Quarkus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containers, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging technologies such as Kafka or ActiveMQ.
• Good understanding of testing principles.
• Ability to communicate confidently in English.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Angular front-end development.
• German or Swiss German language skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement software components according to design specifications.
• Perform system integration and testing, troubleshoot problems, and resolve them.
• Perform unit testing of software components.
• Participate in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate proactively with teammates and communicate with project stakeholders to ensure project efforts proceed efficiently and predictably.
• Provide technical input into product roadmaps.
• Participate in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization.
• Support and optimize CI/CD processes.
