About The Position

This role provides technical expertise to help construct the product roadmap, acting as a subject matter expert and technical leader for the development team. The position involves leading complex feature and/or epic level development efforts. The role will work with Product and UX teams as part of a team of engineers in developing elegant code, state-of-the-art responsive customer experiences, and building industry-leading experiences. The developer will partner with application owners, business partners, and peer groups regarding long and short-range technical solutions that meet business requirements. The role involves working with a cross-functional team, using agile practices, writing, debugging, and delivering code. The developer will maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitive products, services, and trends through research of bleeding-edge technology and trends. The position requires developing applications/web services and cloud-native apps using Java/J2EE, REST API, Spring Framework, Spring Security, Oracle, and other tech stacks (open source and proprietary). The developer will lead discussions with stakeholders from User Experience, Architecture, and Operations and will be responsible for end-to-end application delivery, including coordination with required teams for production deployment. This includes continuously checking and monitoring app health and KPIs, and supporting the triage of any production issues as and when needed. The role requires producing solid, thoroughly tested features, reviewing complex coding work of other developers, and being an advocate of security best practices, championing and supporting the importance of security within engineering. The developer will serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert and may provide industry expertise. Mentoring more junior team members is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

7+ years of overall IT/Digital development experience.
7+ years of experience developing microservices and cloud native apps using Java/J2EE, REST APIs, Spring Core, Spring MVC Framework, Spring Boot Framework JPA (Java Persistence API) (Or any other ORM), Spring Security and similar tech stacks (Open source and proprietary), with any Relational Database (Oracle, PostgreSQL etc.).
3+ years of experience working with Unit testing using framework such as Junit, Mockito, JBehave.
3+ years of experience Build and deploy services using Gradle, Maven, Jenkins etc. as part of CI/CD process.
2+ years of experience with agile development required.
2+ years of experience with any cloud (Preferably Google Cloud Platform or Azure ).
