About The Position

Manages the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of medium- to large-scale company programs. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to programs from various departments. Solutions require analysis and investigation. Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors. Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of program management experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a related field.
  • May require certification.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ year Supply Chain experience
  • Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the work of program teams by assembling team resources to ensure skills and strengths align with project demands.
  • Assigns team activities to ensure project milestones are achieved and provides performance feedback to program and project managers.
  • Manages, controls, and mitigates risks across interdependent projects by analyzing and identifying trigger events.
  • Ensures alignment, buy-in, and support of program stakeholders by building and maintaining relationships with internal customers, third party vendors, and senior leadership.
  • Works closely with portfolio sponsors and/or review boards to determine portfolio goals and influence the prioritization of program deliverables.
  • Adheres to enterprise program management practices by leading formal and informal training sessions.
  • Negotiates and prepares contracts by considering financial conditions, resources, and contractual requirements.
  • Handles program financials, provides input and justification for costs and budget impacts, and oversees the request for information and vendor request for proposal processes.
