About The Position

Software Mind is hiring a Senior iOS Software Engineer for a project with a global provider of medical and travel security risk services. The role is part of a dedicated mobile team rebuilding traveller-facing Subscriber Portal applications as fully native iOS and Android apps, replacing existing React Native versions. The apps help travellers and expatriates receive location-based medical and security alerts, access country risk information, check in, and contact 24/7 assistance centres. The backend is already in place, so the team can focus on delivering a fast, secure, accessible, and reliable native experience. The engineer will develop and maintain the native iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI, taking features and modules from design through delivery and production support. They will collaborate with product managers, backend developers, designers, architects, and other stakeholders to review requirements, propose solutions, estimate work, and contribute to technical design. The position also involves maintaining code quality, application performance, security, accessibility, localisation, testing, monitoring, analytics, CI/CD, and operational documentation.

  • At least 5 years of experience in native iOS development using Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Solid understanding of Swift concurrency, including async/await, actors, and data race prevention.
  • Experience implementing location services and push notifications.

  • Experience integrating third-party frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience writing and maintaining unit and UI tests.

  • Experience working closely with architects and reviewing other engineers’ code.
  • Familiarity with Scrum, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous learning.
