About The Position

DoorDash is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to build and improve its app, which is used by millions of people and supports local entrepreneurs. The role offers opportunities to work on mobile infrastructure or product features, while contributing to engineering processes and architecture as the codebase and developer community grow. The position is hybrid, with some in-office time expected, and reports to an Engineering Manager.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of industry experience.
• A B.S., M.S., Ph.D. in Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Expertise in Swift and the iOS SDK.
• Familiarity with networking, storage, and CocoaPods.
• Knowledge of systems and object-oriented programming.
• Experience building, launching, and iterating on mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Build features within engineering teams.
• Improve the codebase through continuous refactoring.
• Solve real-time data transfer and synchronization problems.
• Extend and implement APIs.
• Implement unit tests.
• Keep up to date with iOS development industry standards.
