About The Position

DoorDash is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to help build and improve an app used by millions of people and relied on by local entrepreneurs. The role may focus on scaling mobile infrastructure or developing product features. Engineers will contribute to the codebase, architecture, and engineering processes while solving real-time data transfer and synchronization challenges. The position is hybrid, with some in-office time expected, and reports to an Engineering Manager.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience.
• B.S., M.S., Ph.D. in Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Expertise in Swift and the iOS SDK.
• Familiarity with networking, storage, and CocoaPods.
• Knowledge of systems and object-oriented programming.
• Experience building, launching, and iterating on mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Build features within engineering teams.
• Improve the codebase through continuous refactoring.
• Solve real-time data transfer and synchronization problems.
• Extend and implement APIs.
• Implement unit tests.
• Keep up to date with iOS development industry standards.
