About The Position

Join a dedicated mobile team rebuilding a global medical and travel security risk services provider’s traveller-facing Subscriber Portal apps as fully native iOS and Android applications, replacing existing React Native versions. The apps help travellers and expatriates receive location-based medical and security alerts, access country risk information, check in, and contact 24/7 assistance centres. The backend is already in place, so the team can focus on delivering a fast, secure, accessible, and dependable native experience. Develop and maintain the native iOS application with Swift and SwiftUI. Work with product managers, backend developers, designers, and other stakeholders to review requirements, propose solutions, and estimate work. Take features and modules through to completion, contribute to technical design discussions, and review peers’ code. Build and support production software, including investigating incidents and delivering fixes. Help maintain engineering quality through tests, monitoring, analytics, CI/CD contributions, and operational documentation.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in native iOS development using Swift and SwiftUI.
Solid understanding of Swift concurrency, including async/await, actors, and data race prevention.
Experience implementing location services and push notifications.
Experience with OAuth 2.0/OIDC, session management, and secure credential storage.
Experience integrating third-party frameworks.
Hands-on experience writing and maintaining unit and UI tests.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Proven ability to own features end to end, support production applications, and resolve incidents.
Experience working closely with architects and reviewing other engineers’ code.
Familiarity with Scrum, Jira, and Confluence.
Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous learning.
English proficiency at C1; English is the working language with the client.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the native iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI.
Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
Collaborate with product managers, backend developers, designers, and other stakeholders to review requirements, suggest solutions, and estimate efforts.
Ensure the application is user-friendly, efficient, and adaptive to different screen sizes and device models.
Optimise the application for speed, stability, and scalability.
Implement authentication, session management, and secure data storage to enterprise security standards.
Implement location-based features and location-triggered push notifications.
Investigate and resolve production issues, including crash analysis, root cause analysis, and hotfixes.
Implement application monitoring and analytics.
Implement localisation in multiple languages and accessibility support.
Write and maintain unit and UI test cases, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
Take ownership of features and modules end to end, review peers’ code against team standards, and contribute to technical design discussions.
Update the internal knowledge base and operational documentation.
