About The Position

Software Mind is seeking a Senior Android Software Engineer to join a dedicated mobile team rebuilding a global medical and travel security risk services client’s traveller-facing applications. The apps are part of the Subscriber Portal and are being rebuilt as fully native Android and iOS applications to replace existing React Native versions. They help travellers and expatriates receive location-based medical and security alerts, access country risk information, check in, and contact 24/7 assistance centres. The backend is already in place, so the team can focus on delivering a fast, secure, accessible and reliable native experience. The role develops and maintains the native Android application using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. It includes collaborating across product, backend, design and stakeholder teams; building location-aware features and secure authentication; improving performance and stability; supporting localization and accessibility; and contributing to testing, monitoring, CI/CD, technical design and documentation. The engineer will take end-to-end ownership of features and modules and review peers’ code.

  • Write and maintain unit and UI test cases, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of features and modules, review peers’ code against team standards, and contribute to technical design discussions.
  • Update the internal knowledge base and operational documentation.
