This role is for a Lead Relationship Manager in International (central and south America) with a proven ability to gain a client's confidence and a growing share of the client’s wallet. Strong focus on gathering assets under management, deposits and loan production. Strong focus on business development initiatives in Mexico. Versed in banking, investments and fiduciary services with a proven ability to cross sell services. Acts as the quarterback for the team surrounding the client. Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function. Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and / or business knowledge and functional expertise. Focus of role is on execution of strategic direction of business function activities. Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues. Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.

Requirements

  • At least 12 years in International Wealth Management
  • Multilingual, with excellent oral and written communication skills, specifically in English and Spanish
  • Knowledge and expertise of doing business in Mexico and proper protocol pertaining to clients, travel, hosting events, etc.
  • Proven success regarding business development initiatives in Mexico
  • Proven experience in client acquisition
  • Existing client relationships that will transition well to Northern Trust
  • In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
