About The Position

Homes England, the government’s housing and regeneration agency, is seeking a Senior Interaction Designer to support its work addressing housing challenges, improving affordability and creating a sustainable housing market. The agency also plays a role in regeneration, partnering with places to reduce economic disparity, empower local leaders and create equal opportunities. The role will lead interaction design across complex services and work with multidisciplinary teams to design end-to-end services aligned with user needs and organisational priorities. The designer will develop, test and iterate solutions with service managers, programme directors and delivery teams, help set design direction, and embed user-centred practices. The position also involves using evidence to challenge assumptions and explain design decisions, leading design sessions and workshops, creating and testing prototypes, advising on inclusive, accessible and environmentally sustainable design, and mentoring colleagues. This is an initial three-month contract, working remotely with occasional office travel. The role can only be performed within the UK.
