About The Position

Censys is seeking a Senior Integrations Software Engineer to help build and evolve its next-generation platform. The role works closely with product and engineering teams to build, deploy, and maintain scalable integrations between the Censys Platform and third-party systems, including SIEM, SOAR, and Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs). These integrations connect Censys with critical security tools, enrich attack surface data, and deliver actionable insights to practitioners and CISOs. The engineer will set technical direction for a portfolio of more than a dozen integrations, lead delivery involving internal engineers and external vendor partners, and ensure consistent standards and long-term maintainability. The role also includes developing highly available API connectors, contributing to Censys open-source APIs and SDKs, and advancing integrations for AI Agent skills, plugins, and workflows. The position advocates for customers, shapes the integrations roadmap, and keeps current with emerging security-platform technologies.

Requirements

At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years focused on integrations or robust backend systems.
At least 3 years of experience with Python or Golang.
Deep expertise in API-first development and seamless service integration.
Proven ability to unify multiple APIs into a coherent platform with solid service contracts.
Experience setting direction for a multi-integration or platform effort and growing engineers.
Ability to independently drive and implement integrations while working closely with product management, customer success, and partners.
Commitment to improving deployment and developer workflows through CI/CD.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
Action-oriented approach and an iterative approach to problem solving.
Ability to contribute informed ideas to technical discussions and make timely decisions.
Excellent communication and documentation skills, including explaining technical concepts to engineering and non-engineering teams.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience integrating with security platforms such as Splunk, Cortex XSOAR, Anomali, or Recorded Future.
Cybersecurity engineering background.
Proven success integrating with vendor marketplaces such as AWS or Splunk.
Expertise expanding REST/gRPC microservice architectures.
Strong interest in using AI and LLM tools to improve coding, iteration speed, and productivity.
Experience with cloud providers, especially Google Cloud.
Experience building, deploying, and maintaining containerized services in Kubernetes environments.
Experience enforcing test coverage through strong CI practices, adding linters and code-complexity checks, and applying clean abstractions and established design patterns.

Responsibilities

Set the technical direction for the integrations portfolio, deciding what to build and how across more than a dozen integrations.
Lead integration delivery across internal engineers and external vendor partners, setting standards, reviewing work, and ensuring long-term maintainability.
Build and maintain integrations with AWS, Azure, GCP, and security operations platforms such as SIEM, SOAR, and TIP systems.
Partner with third-party engineering teams and Censys Alliances and Marketing teams to launch and certify integrations.
Design, implement, and maintain integrations between the Censys Platform and external SOAR, SIEM, and TIP solutions.
Develop and operate highly available, scalable API connectors.
Contribute to and maintain Censys open-source APIs and SDKs.
Develop AI Agent skills and plugins to support Agentic workflows.
Create instructions for AI Agents to build new integrations and maintain existing ones.
Design and implement automated continuous-integration solutions for building, testing, monitoring, and deploying integrations.
Advocate for customers, prioritize requests, and shape the integrations roadmap.
Keep current with emerging SOAR, SIEM, and TIP technologies to inform integration strategy.
