About The Position

We are seeking a skilled, technically strong Senior API Developer to design, build, and maintain integrations while contributing across a broader full-stack platform. The role combines hands-on API development with cross-functional collaboration and requires strong technical ability and clear communication with non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate takes end-to-end ownership, thrives in less-structured, fast-moving environments, and is motivated by commercial impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations, including Workforce Now, ADP API Central, and ADP Marketplace.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions.
• Ensure compliant and reliable data exchange across payroll, HRIS, and benefits platforms.
• Troubleshoot, test, and optimize API performance and reliability.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party payroll, HRIS, and benefits systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using C#/.NET on the backend and modern JavaScript frameworks on the frontend.
• Contribute to scalable, secure, and high-performance architecture decisions.
• Design and optimize databases, write efficient queries, and support data migration processes.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues to ensure system reliability and uptime.
• Lead and participate in client meetings to discuss implementation progress, timelines, and technical requirements.
• Explain API functionality, integration workflows, and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including payroll, HR, and operations teams.
• Serve as a primary technical point of contact during onboarding and implementation.
• Gather client requirements and recommend solutions aligned with best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Implementation, and Customer Success teams.
• Provide documentation, training, and post-implementation support as needed.
