Senior Integrated Copywriter

Fuseideas LLCWinchester, MA

About The Position

Fuse is looking for a Senior Integrated Copywriter who thinks beyond the headline. This role requires a modern creative thinker who can uncover insights, find the big idea, build the story, and bring it to life across channels. The ideal candidate can zoom out to see the strategic opportunity and then zoom in to perfect the details. This is not a traditional copywriter role where one waits for assignments; instead, the Senior Integrated Copywriter will be involved from the beginning, helping to transform briefs into ideas, insights into creative territories, and initial thoughts into engaging campaigns. Collaboration with designers, strategists, account teams, and other creatives is key to making the work smarter, sharper, and more interesting. While writing extensively is part of the role, the focus is on the entire creative process.

Requirements

  • An ideas person who is also a great writer.
  • Strategically minded and naturally curious, seeking to understand the 'why' before the 'what'.
  • Enjoys brainstorming and the process of developing ideas.
  • Ability to simplify complex thoughts into clear and beautiful communication.
  • Organized enough to manage multiple ideas, campaigns, decks, and deadlines effectively.
  • Understanding of how brands operate in the modern world and the nuances of integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Comfortable presenting ideas and persuading others.
  • Collaborative spirit, believing in the joint development of words and visuals with designers.
  • Curiosity about AI and its potential to enhance the creative process.
  • Strong opinions about words, but flexibility in their application.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working across integrated campaigns, social, digital, video, experiential, or content.
  • Familiarity with Figma.
  • Experience with AI-powered creative and writing tools.
  • A portfolio showcasing strategic thinking, not just polished copy.
  • Ability to explain the insight behind favorite work.
  • Healthy curiosity about culture, brands, people, and why certain ideas resonate.

Responsibilities

  • Find the idea by digging into research, briefs, culture, audiences, and business challenges to uncover compelling insights.
  • Create campaigns, not just copy, by developing big ideas, creative territories, campaign platforms, and concepts that can extend across various channels (social, digital, video, experiential, presentations, etc.).
  • Make words work hard by writing messaging, headlines, scripts, manifestos, social copy, campaign language, and other relevant content.
  • Turn thinking into a story by building creative briefs, strategic rationale, presentations, and campaign narratives that clearly articulate the idea and its strategic justification.
  • Be a creative partner by working closely with designers throughout the process, contributing ideas, building on theirs, challenging assumptions, and collaborating to improve the work.
  • Bring order to creative chaos by organizing concepts, messaging systems, presentations, and documentation.
  • Get people thinking by leading brainstorms and creative working sessions, asking unexpected questions, and encouraging the development of novel ideas.
  • Keep the work honest by pressure testing creative ideas against the brief, audience, brand, and business objectives.
  • Use AI as a creative tool to accelerate research, explore directions, generate possibilities, pressure test thinking, and achieve stronger results faster, while maintaining personal judgment and originality.
