Westland Insurance Group is growing and has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Insurance Advisor for our Uptown office in Victoria, BC. As a Senior Insurance Advisor, you promote and educate clients on a wide range of insurance products, take ownership of client relationships, and help us grow our presence and profile in the local community. You'll also serve as a senior resource within the branch, managing more complex insurance cases while supporting the development of team members.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of insurance industry experience
• Level 2 License
• Progress toward your CAIB and/or CIP designation
• Strong technical knowledge and confidence handling more complex client needs, with the ability to provide tailored coverage recommendations
• A proven ability to build lasting client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and identify opportunities to grow and retain business
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, allowing you to effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and contributing to team success
• Professional, solutions-focused, and an effective communicator who demonstrates sound judgment and integrity in every client interaction

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional client service while representing Westland Insurance professionally across phone, email, and in-person interactions
• Assess client needs and provide knowledgeable recommendations across personal lines to ensure the right coverage and protection
• Manage new business, renewals, underwriting, and policy changes while handling more complex insurance cases with accuracy and attention to detail
• Build lasting client relationships by providing proactive support throughout the customer journey, including renewals, claims assistance, and follow-up communication
• Contribute to business growth by identifying sales opportunities in addition to cross-selling and up-selling products
• Support branch success by collaborating with team members, mentoring peers, and assisting with training, reporting, and day-to-day operations as needed
