About The Position

Freudigman & Billings is seeking a full-time Senior Instructor for its Admissions Test Prep team in Westport, Connecticut. This is an on-site position, with work performed at the Westport center. The instructor will primarily help students prepare for the ACT and SAT; experience with the ISEE, SSAT, MCAT, GMAT, GRE, and/or LSAT is also welcomed. Instructors teach information processing, self-monitoring, critical thinking, and problem-solving strategies. Rather than relying on rote memorization or simply assigning practice questions, instruction helps students gather, sequence, track, and classify information from text and visual sources. The goal is to strengthen students’ reasoning, inference, problem-solving, and independent learning skills, extending beyond preparation for a single examination. The Senior Instructor will teach a cohort of students one-on-one, averaging approximately 20–24 instructional hours per week, and will collaborate with Test Prep leadership and colleagues across departments to support students. Approximately five hours per week will initially be reserved for departmental and professional contributions, which may include curriculum development, instructor coaching, family communication, student data analysis, or other initiatives, depending on the instructor’s strengths and department needs. The center provides established curriculum, instructional materials, assessment processes, student management systems, administrative support, a private classroom, a whiteboard, and materials for instruction. The position offers a salary of $85,000–$100,000 based on experience, along with paid sick time, vacation time, holidays, and benefits.
