About The Position

Revolution Prep is hiring a full-time, remote W-2 Professional Online Tutor to teach SAT and ACT Math, high-school mathematics through Algebra II, executive function skills, and other subjects based on the tutor’s expertise and company needs. Tutors use Revolution Prep’s in-house curriculum and teaching resources to lead online sessions, support student learning and confidence, and help students reach academic goals. The role includes paid training, preparation time, and ongoing professional development, along with support from Faculty Leaders and fellow tutors.

The position requires at least 38 hours of weekly availability on a consistent schedule, including evenings and weekends. The goal is 30 or more tutoring hours each week, though actual hours may vary with student demand and subject expertise. At least eight hours of weekend availability is required. Schedules are arranged in two-to-six-hour blocks and extend nine or more months ahead. Time-off requests should generally be submitted at least four weeks in advance, and the role requires a minimum one-year employment commitment. Starting tutoring pay is $25 per hour, with an opportunity to earn up to $29 per hour after a 90-day review based on performance and subject coverage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least one year of professional teaching or tutoring experience.
• Ability to teach mathematics through Algebra II.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain challenging concepts clearly and patiently.
• Comfort working independently in a remote environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States and current residence in the United States.
• Availability for a consistent minimum of 38 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, with at least eight hours of weekend availability.
• Minimum one-year employment commitment.
• A Mac or PC desktop or laptop, reliable high-speed internet with an Ethernet connection, at least 4GB of available RAM, and a quiet, professional workspace suitable for online instruction.

Responsibilities
