About The Position

ArborBridge is seeking tutors to provide personalized, one-on-one online SAT and ACT tutoring to students and support them and their families throughout the test preparation process. Tutors create customized programs based on individual student needs, build genuine relationships, communicate reliably with students, families, and colleagues, and proactively address challenges to help students progress toward their academic and test-taking goals. The role includes approximately 18 hours of self-directed and manager-led training, paid at $15 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of formal tutoring experience.
• Comfort tutoring all sections of the SAT and ACT.
• Familiarity with online teaching tools.
• Bachelor’s degree from a top university.

• One year or more of tutoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students privately online via Zoom.
• Create personalized test preparation plans for each student.
• Set consistent instructional and practice exam schedules to support progress toward a specific test date.
• Write lesson summaries after each meeting and update parents on student progress.
• Assign appropriate amounts of homework between lessons.
• Build genuine relationships with students, their families, and ArborBridge employees.
• Communicate regularly with program managers, instruction managers, directors of tutoring, operational staff, and other colleagues to support students and ensure programs run smoothly.
• Respond promptly and thoroughly to calls and emails from parents, students, and ArborBridge colleagues.
• Identify potential program problems proactively and offer solutions.

Benefits
