About The Position

Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA, is seeking an experienced Senior Inpatient Case Manager RN to focus on complex cases. This is a full-time position with day shifts, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The role includes a weekend rotation of approximately every 4 weeks, along with holiday and on-call commitments. The Senior Inpatient Case Manager RN assumes responsibility, accountability, and leadership for the daily operations, including coordination of work, quality, and service for inpatient case management. They will assist the supervisor for the assigned site/function, participate in the work activities of assigned teams, and provide case management services as needed. The role also involves maintaining fiscal accountability for departmental activities and providing feedback on hiring and evaluations of personnel. This position functions in a hospital setting only.

Requirements

  • RN-Bachelor's Degree OR RN-Master's Degree OR RN-Doctorate Degree
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License - Compact/Multi-State License OR Registered Nurse (RN) License - Single State – Virginia
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • 3 years of nursing experience (required)
  • Functions in one of the following practice settings: Hospitals only

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years Case Management experience (preferred)
  • Case Management (ACM, CCM, CCCTM, CMAC or CMGT-BC) certification required within one year of eligibility
  • Healthcare experience refers to the care delivered in one of the following settings: hospital or an acute care facility

Responsibilities
