About The Position

Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA, is seeking an experienced Senior Inpatient Case Manager RN to focus on complex cases! This is a full-time position with day shifts, 40 hours per week. The hours are Monday – Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with a weekend rotation of approximately every 4 weeks, and holiday and on-call commitments. The Senior Inpatient Case Manager, RN assumes responsibility, accountability, and leadership for the daily operations, including coordination of work, quality, and service for inpatient case management. They will assist the supervisor for the assigned site/function, participate in the work activities of assigned teams, and provide case management services as needed. This role maintains fiscal accountability for departmental activities and provides feedback on hiring and evaluations of personnel. The position functions in a hospital setting only.

Requirements

  • RN-Bachelor's Degree OR RN-Master's Degree OR RN-Doctorate Degree
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License - Compact/Multi-State License OR Registered Nurse (RN) License - Single State – Virginia
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Case Management (ACM, CCM, CCCTM, CMAC or CMGT-BC) certification required within one year of eligibility
  • 3 years of nursing experience (required)
  • 3 years Case Management experience (preferred)
  • Healthcare experience refers to the care delivered in one of the following settings: hospital or an acute care facility
