About The Position

The Senior Infrastructure Program Director leads end-to-end delivery and recovery of complex infrastructure separation, divestiture, carve-out, and M&A integration programs. The role integrates multiple infrastructure workstreams into a single executable program, maintaining a credible critical path, measurable milestones, clear ownership, disciplined governance, scope control, financial management, and evidence-based reporting. The director applies infrastructure knowledge, hands-on program management, commercial judgment, and executive leadership to resolve cross-functional dependencies, drive decisions, translate technical activity into business outcomes, and protect operational continuity. The role is accountable for program integration, governance, and delivery control, and partners with account, commercial, architecture, security, operations, and infrastructure tower leadership. It includes leadership of site migration readiness from discovery and design through build, testing, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization, as well as transition to operations through documentation, acceptance, knowledge transfer, monitoring, recovery planning, support ownership, and defined stabilization criteria. Periodic travel to customer and delivery locations is required for critical workshops, readiness reviews, and cutovers.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive technology delivery experience, including senior accountability for large, complex, multi-tower infrastructure programs.
  • Hands-on leadership of at least one corporate divestiture, carve-out, separation, or M&A integration involving significant infrastructure transition and operational continuity risks.
  • Demonstrated success leading or recovering programs involving executive escalations, unclear ownership, interdependent workstreams, compressed timelines, and significant customer scrutiny.
  • Strong experience developing integrated plans and critical paths across infrastructure towers and site migrations, including discovery, design, build, testing, readiness, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization.
  • Working knowledge of Hosting and Cloud, Networks, IAM, SSO, Endpoint, Cybersecurity, M365 and Collaboration, Data Center, Backup and Recovery, Monitoring, ITSM, CMDB, Service Desk, and SIAM.
  • Proven expertise in SOW development and interpretation, deliverables, assumptions, acceptance criteria, change control, financial management, budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, and resource optimization.
  • Ability to connect technical dependencies with customer impact, business continuity, schedules, costs, contractual exposure, and executive decisions.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including simplifying complex issues, communicating difficult facts constructively, and presenting clear options and recommendations.
  • Experience working with senior IT leadership, steering committees, architects, delivery executives, customer leaders, vendors, and third-party advisors.
  • Ability to travel periodically to customer and delivery locations for critical workshops, readiness reviews, and cutovers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • Assess program health, identify root causes and control gaps, establish corrective actions, and implement measurable recovery plans for at-risk milestones and workstreams.
  • Lead site migration readiness from discovery and design through build, testing, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization, resolving technical, business, vendor, and operational dependencies.
  • Establish deliverables, accountable owners, target dates, entry and exit criteria, acceptance criteria, and objective evidence of completion.
  • Provide technical leadership by challenging designs, plans, assumptions, sequencing, and readiness; ensure technical documentation is complete, consistent, and aligned with the separation strategy.
  • Establish program governance, including roles, decision rights, review forums, escalation paths, RAID management, action tracking, and a single source of truth across customer, internal, vendor, and advisory teams.

  • Build client confidence through proactive stakeholder engagement, realistic expectations, timely issue resolution, and visible leadership during workshops, executive reviews, readiness events, and cutovers.
