About The Position

The Senior Infra Engineer designs, deploys, administers, and troubleshoots Kubernetes clusters on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and designs and manages Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure. The role also manages cloud networking, implements infrastructure as code, configures monitoring and alerting, and supports disaster recovery and high availability solutions. This is a six-month temporary assignment with a hybrid work arrangement in Phoenix, Arizona.

Requirements

Nine years of experience.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and SSL/TLS.
Experience with Kubernetes/GKE, networking, and GCP.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, administer, and troubleshoot Kubernetes (GKE) clusters.
Manage Kubernetes namespaces, RBAC, network policies, ingress controllers, services, and storage classes.
Perform cluster upgrades and patching, manage node pools, and plan capacity.
Automate deployments using Helm, ArgoCD, and CI/CD pipelines.
Monitor cluster health, availability, and performance; troubleshoot pod, deployment, service, and ingress issues.
Configure and troubleshoot VPCs, subnets, routing tables, NAT gateways, and firewalls.
Design secure ingress and egress traffic flows; manage load balancers, VPN, hybrid connectivity, and DNS solutions.
Diagnose network latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues; implement Zero Trust and network segmentation principles.
Design and manage GCP infrastructure, including GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, Cloud DNS, Cloud Load Balancer, Cloud NAT, and IAM.
Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.
Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting.
Support disaster recovery and high availability solutions.
