The Lab Infra Engineer supports the Systems Engineering function through prototype bring-up, test execution, device farm operations, and cross-functional engineering work. The role keeps devices and lab infrastructure ready for testing and validation cycles in a fast-paced R&D environment. The engineer sets up, configures, and maintains prototype hardware and test systems; supports device provisioning, firmware flashing, and requested configuration changes; and maintains lab racks, devices, cables, and power and network connectivity. The role also manages prototype device farms for automated testing, ensures systems are ready for continuous integration pipelines, and manually intervenes when automation fails or needs remediation. The engineer executes hardware, firmware, and system-level test procedures; helps debug test failures and distinguish hardware from software issues; and supports functional, regression, performance, and reliability validation. The role includes troubleshooting device failures, connectivity issues, and test anomalies; collecting logs, contributing to root-cause analysis, and escalating defects. Additional duties include maintaining lab cleanliness, organization, and safety; tracking inventory and supporting calibration and maintenance schedules; documenting configurations, issues, and test results; collaborating with Systems Engineering, Firmware, Hardware, and Infrastructure teams; assisting with new platform bring-up, debug sessions, experiments, and validation; and coordinating with third-party vendor teams and internal stakeholders on hardware equipment and accessories.
