About The Position

As a Senior IT Support Technician, you will focus on leading initiatives, work planning, and mentoring team members in processes and technical skills. You will also be responsible for partnering and providing technical support to our employees and maintaining the company's IT systems. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, install, configure software, hardware, and assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects. This is an essential onsite role

Requirements

  • 5 -7 years of proven experience as an IT support technician or similar role (Preferred)
  • Ability to provide direction and guidance to team members and business partners
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Knowledge in various operating systems (Windows/Mac/Linux/iOS)
  • Self-motivated
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
  • Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
  • Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. from floor to shoulder height
  • Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Digi-Key systems, business, and procedures (Preferred)
  • Computer & Network Technology A.A.S. degree or related field (Preferred)
  • IT certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of excellent customer service with urgency and ownership
  • Mentor team members regarding processes and technical skills
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
  • Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware
  • Assist in the planning, resource allocation and implementation of IT hardware/software projects
  • Monitoring and remediating issues with select server systems
  • Develop computer-based solutions for business needs as required
  • Maintain accurate records of IT support requests and resolutions
  • Keep up with the latest hardware and software technologies
  • Coordinate with internal organization/support groups and/or with vendors
